Great site, I look forward to seeing the new artifacts and fossils.
Love the site! Always enjoy looking at the new finds. It's nice to stuff from other local collectors!
This is an incredible artifact site and the fact that you share your experiences with others allow some of us to vicariously enjoy the hobby while under temporary geographical challenges. Thanks for your site!---- Now go find some more!!!!!

Hello, nice site. I just started hunting for points a few weeks ago.
do you know of a store or Web site where I can purchase a probe?
Hi, enjoyed your photos but would like more info. I'm coming down to your area from Rhode Island the first week in March and would love to go fossil hunting on the Peace River. I'm new at this and never hunted were there were alligators, are they dangerous? Are there areas were one can just hike and not canoe? Do you folks do any programs taking people out? Would love to hear from you, Jolli Howlett
Sorry, forgot to leave my email---jollihowlett@yahoo.com. Thanks, Jolli Howlett
Hello, I REALLY enjoyed your website! I live in Port Charlotte near the Myakka river. I was wondering if your museum is open to the public and if so, what days and hours? Thank you,
Karl,
Your gallery is unbelievable. I have never seen such amazing finds in such
numbers. My best friend and I grew up in Gainesville and have been looking for
fossils in local creeks since we were kids. It has taken me a lifetime to
amass the numbers of sharks teeth, etc. that you show from just one or two of
your dives.
We just made our first trip to the Santa Fe yesterday, trying to broaden our
search hobby in the direction of the larger rivers. Unfortunately, we have no
idea what we are doing, and didn't find anything. I was wondering if you might
offer us a suggestion, location, or technique or two (or three) that might get
us started in the right direction. We aren't scuba trained yet, but working on
it.
Thanks for the great site.

Are there any places in the Tampa Bay/Pinellas County area to fossil hunt? Are there any places to find Indian relics? Would snorkeling or beach hunting be successful for either one?
Thanks, Jim
HI, I'm a collector from Texas and I've just gotten onto the Web. Vie never seen pictures of the Florida points, other than black and white in the Overstreet book, and am amazed at the quality. From the pictures on your website, it looks like you can just pick up the points off the bottom of the creeks and rivers. How do they end up in the creeks? Do they erode out of the banks? Or were they deposited before the creeks came through? I live in central Texas and if you find a point in the creek bed its been beat to heck by the rocks. Anyway thanks for your time.
Hello!
Just wanted to let you know that I visited your web site.......oh MY.......really enjoyed looking at all your "stuff". It was really nice meeting both of you and maybe I'll see you another trip. Thank you again for the scraper.....will think of you every time I look at it. Had a long trip home, my plane in Cleveland was delayed an hour so I didn't get to bed till 1 AM. Still recuperating......but it was worth every pain!!

really great site and PICS. surface hunter/ creek walker
here from n.e. ark ,on crowleys ridge. thinking of trying
my hand at river diving in some of the local rivers, spring,
eleven point, current, white, and maybe in n.w. ark, buffalo,
and mulberry rivers. any suggested reading, sites, or advice
would be much appreciated. by the way , I am a P.A.D.A. certified
diver, with minimal experience, the lakes here do not have
very good visibility, so I quit diving, but have done a lot of
snorkeling, some of it in rivers. thanks, gwilson

Hey guys, great site! I recently stopped plumbing (for a little while) to hunt points on my dad's place here in Vernon parish Louisiana. I started about hunting about two years ago and have had some successes' have about34 complete points from Paleo to historic. The earliest being the two Plainview's, three san Patrice and two of those are agatized palm wood, misc, scrapers, reforms and knifes. I really enjoy hunting for them. I find them in a sand pit after the rains, and on the hill behind our workshop! Seems we have allot in common with the plumbing and all. I live about 10 mile from Toledo-bend dam and we have a house on Vernon lake, its about 5000 acres and there are many places to hunt when its low. well I really like your site and hope to have one of my own soon. write back when you can I know you stay busy. I may need to go to work over someday who knows?

Having recently developed a renewed interest in Indian
artifact hunting (land surface only for me), I found your
site. Extremely intriguing and fascinating. Have enjoyed it
immensely. I would love to have one of the prehistoric
sharks teeth, do you sell any of your finds?
I enjoy the scenic shots as well and thought the protruding
rock formation looked like a snakes head.
Thanks again, GREAT site.

Good idea and good website...go on !
Hi there all
Recently I was on a web design team, the best of the best, any way, they have just been launched to day and I though that you guys would appreciate being the first to check them out.
Excellent work, I like this page!
Very cool!!!

do you ever run across an alligator in the water? and what do you do about it?

Hello my name is Elliot and I recently found 3 fossils and 1 point in Marble Falls TX. Got to tell you I am hooked! I’m 25 yrs old, from Midland Tx. I would like to complement you on your extensive collection, WOW! I never seen so many points and artifacts. Could you give me tips on where too look for artifacts such as yours? Your website is very interesting. What an exciting family you have, I’m married and my wife not interested in the new hobby I took up lol. Thanks for sharing you pic’s.
Sincerely, E.E.
M.R.
I found your arrowhead page and wonder if you could help me. I was doing some yeard work and found a rock (arrowhead maybe?). Last year I did find a small arrow head in my yard so when I found this object it really made me wonder. I have attached two pictures for you to take a look at. As you can see this rock is about 11 inches long. If this could be an arrowhead please let me know. I live in southern Indiana if that means anything.
How are the sharks jaws hanging on the wall?
I’ve got some but been looking at the best way to hang them, no since reinventing the wheel.
The site looks great. I’m in AL but have been following the isolated finds program in FL. Seems we are all under attack.
Hi!
I was very intrigued with your Peace River diving
pictures and finds. I'm very interested in taking my
kayak or little jon boat and doing a fossil dive and
wondered if you could be so kind to point me in the
best direction for launching and a safe dive. I would
be going solo so if you know of anyone who might be
interested in joining me, I would be grateful. I'm
from the Deltona area and this will be a new area of experience. I look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks!
HI KARL, I DON’T KNOW IF YOU REMEMBER OR NOR BUT I MAILED YOU A FEW MONTHS BACK ABOUT SNORKELING THE RIVERS AND YOU ADVISED ME TO GET CERTIFIED. WELL I DID AT THE RIPE OLD AGE OF 53, AND I MADE A TOTAL OF 10 DIVES MY DEEPEST 103 FT. ON AN OFFSHORE WRECK. ME AND 2 FRIENDS HAVE A TRIP PLANNED FOR A FEW DAYS NOV 11 TO THE STEINHATCHEE RIVER AND THEY ARE GOING TO FISH FOR TROUT AND I PLAN TO MAKE A FEW RIVER DIVES WHICH IS ALL NEW TO ME. I MAY GO UP TO THE SANTA FE FOR ONE DAY. I HAVE A SMALL ALUMINUM BOAT WITH A 25 HP. I PLAN TO MAINLY LOOK FOR FOSSILS WHICH IS MY INTREST AND I AM HOPING YOU HAVE TIME TO GIVE ME A FEW PONTERS OR REALLY MORE WHAT TO EXPECT IN RIVER DIVING. I HAVE A 3MM WETSUIT AND WAS WONDERING IF YOU THINK IT IS WARM ENOUGH. ALSO WHAT TYPES OF LOCATIONS ALONG THE RIVERS DO YOU LOOK FOR WHEN YOU DECIDE TO PICK AN AREA TO HUNT AND DO YOU USE A LIGHT? DO YOU USUALLY FAN AWAY THE SAND ON BOTTOM OR IS THERE USUALLY A HARD BOTTOM. I AM TOTALLY NEW DOING THIS AND IF YOU HAVE TIME TO REPLY WITH ANY ADVICE IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. YOU HAVE A FANTASTIC WEBSITE AND I GAVE IT TO FRIENDS IN OUR PALEONTOLOGY CLUB AND THEY WERE AMAZED AT SOME OF YOUR FINDS. WE HAVE REAL GOOD EOCENE AND CRETACIOUS SITES HERE BUT PLEISTOCENE FOSSILS ARE VERY RARE. OUR SHARK TEETH ARE REAL SMALL WITH A 1” BEING LARGE. HOPE YOU DID NOT HAVE A LOT OF DAMAGE WITH ALL THE STORMS. THANKS STEVE C
Great webpage, great stuff!!
My wife and I have property near the Ichetucknee River and the Sante fe and found a few articfacts in the rivers. We dive and wish to get into loking for some points/teeth etc. Have not done any dark water diving before and wish to get some pointers on how deep you find your stuff at, on the river bends or any particular areas. Do you have to dig into the bottom etc??
Any quick "pointers" would be appreciated.

Hi, You have a very nice and interesting web site !!! We live in Orlando and have found two points, both by accident. One was found while swimming in a local spring that is visited by thousands of people and the other was in a ditch. My son and I would like to find more but know little about hunting for them, methods ect.. We do not dive so I guess that would leave out searching the bottom of rivers. I would appreciate any suggestions you could give to me to start us out in the right direction on how to find something. I am aware that we must look on private property with the owners permission. Thanks in advance, Bill, PS. my wife’s family is from Arcadia.
HI, I'm a collector from Texas and Ive just gotten onto the Web. Ive never seen pictures of the Florida points, other than black and white in the Overstreet book, and am amazed at the quality. Brian S.
Are there any places in the Tampa Bay/Pinellas County area to fossil hunt? Are there any places to find Indian relics? Would snorkeling or beach hunting be successful for either one?
Thanks, Jim
Karl,
Your gallery is unbelievable. I have never seen such amazing finds in such
numbers. My best friend and I grew up in Gainesville and have been looking for
fossils in local creeks since we were kids. It has taken me a lifetime to
amass the numbers of sharksteeh, etc. that you show from just one or two of
